Volleyball Downs Dean 3-0

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University volleyball team received a combined 28 kills from the duo of Valerie Sullivan and Anna Szymanski as the Rams defeated Dean College 3-0 this evening in non-conference action.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• The Rams pulled out a hard fought first set 25-22 before cruising to the victory 25-12 and 25-6 in the second and third.
• Sullivan paced the Rams on the attack with 15 kills on 21 attempts with just three errors, while Szymanski converted for 13 kills on 30 attempts to go along with two aces and 10 digs.
• Emily Flaherty chipped in with five digs and led the Rams from the service line with five aces, while Brandee Thomas finished the match with eight kills and three aces.
• Isabel Henwood led the back row with a team-best 12 digs on the night.
• The Bulldogs received five kills apiece from Janai Price and Sari Albury. Albury added two digs and three blocks.
• Lena Muraski chipped in with 12 set assists, while Jenny Galley added seven defensive digs.

The Rams are back in action on Wednesday night when they host Bridgewater State for a MASCAC match at 7:15 p.m., while Dean travels to Emmanuel for a conference match on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
