South Hadley, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team broke into the win column with a pair of victories today defeating host Mount Holyoke 3-2 before closing the day with a 3-1 victory over SUNY Cobleskill in a non-conference tri-match.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Match 1 -
- In the opener, the Rams took the first two sets 25-11 and 25-13 before Mount Holyoke took the third and fourth 25-19 and 25-9. The Rams regrouped and took the fifth set 16-14 to secure the victory.
- Hailey Sanders paced the Rams on the attack with 11 kills on 23 attempts to go along with three blocks, while Valerie Sullivan added 10 kills.
- Isabel Henwood led the defensive effort with 24 defensive digs, while Morgan Failla finished with 18 digs, 33 assists and eight kills.
- Anna Szymanski recorded eight kills and eight digs and Brandee Thomas added seven kills and 15 digs.
Match 2 -
- In their second match, the Rams once again took the first two sets 25-19 and 25-15 before Cobleskill rallied for a 25-19 victory in the third. The Rams regrouped and edged Cobleskill 25-23 in the fourth to secure the victory.
- Sanders once again paced the Rams on the attack with 16 kills and five blocks, while Sullivan finished with 11 kills and four digs.
- Thomas finished the second match with 10 kills and 18 digs, while Failla had a solid match with 41 assists and eight digs.
- Henwood chipped in with 20 digs, while Hayley Gaskin added 16.
