Volleyball Drops a Pair of Matches to Gordon and Roger WIlliams

Wenham, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team dropped a pair of matches this afternoon to Gordon College and Roger Williams University at a non-conference tri-match at the Bennett Center.

With the losses, the Rams fall 12-9 on the year.

The Rams were defeated by Roger Williams by scores of 25-19, 25-20 and 27-25.  Senior Alycia Rackliffe paced the Rams with nine kills and 16 digs, while classmate Julia Wan (South Deerfield, Mass.) added nine kills and six digs with three blocks.

Sophomore Mackenzie Whalen (Norton, Mass.) added 28 set assists and 10 digs, while junior Jocelyn Wilbur (Braintree, Mass.) and Vicki Anderson (Attleboro, Mass.) added seven digs a piece.

The Rams closed the day with a 3-0 loss to Gordon by scores of 25-21, 25-14 and 25-13.  Rackliffe once again paced the attack with nine kills, while Wan added four and eight digs. Junior Sarah Leonard (Southborough, Mass.) added 13 digs, while Whalen recorded 11 set assists.

The Rams are back in action on Tuesday evening when they travel to MCLA for a MASCAC showdown beginning at 7 p.m.
