Volleyball Falls to Clark 3-1

Worcester, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team was defeated 3-1 by Clark University on the road this evening in non-conference action at the Kneller Center. The Rams were defeated by scores of 25-22, 25-14, 18-25, and 25-17.

With the win, Clark improves to 13-7 on the year, while the loss drops the Rams to 12-7.

The Rams were paced by a double double effort of 16 kills and 22 digs from senior Alycia Rackliffe (Feeding Hills, Mass.).  Classmate Julia Wan (South Deerfield, Mass.) added seven kills and 14 digs with two blocks, while sophomore Casie Thurber (Springfield, Mass.) added seven kills and two blocks. 

Freshman Deirdre Fay added 16 digs, while juniors Vicki Anderson (Attleboro, Mass.) and Jocelyn Wilbur (Braintree, Mass.) added 12 and 10 respectively.  Sophomore Mackenzie Whalen (Norton, Mass.) added 31 set assists and seven service aces with nine digs.

The Rams are back in action on Saturday with a non-conference tri-match at Gordon College with Roger Williams.
