Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team extended their current win streak to four with a 3-1 hard fought victory over Emmanuel College in non-conference action at Framingham's Athletic Center.

The Rams improve their record to 8-1 on the year with the victory, while the Saints dip below .500 at 6-7.

The Rams jumped out to large leads in the first two sets before taking each by the score of 25-17. The third set was a different story as Emmanuel grabbed the early lead 9-8 and then the two teams traded points the rest of the way before the Saints eventually took a 25-23 victory in the frame.  In the fourth set, the two team traded points and the lead until a monster kill from Alycia Rackliffe (Feeding Hills, Mass) and a pair of Saints errors gave the Rams the lead at 19-16 that they would not relinquish. The Rams eventually took the set 25-18 to secure the four set victory.

The Rams were led by 19 kills and seven digs from Rackliffe, while senior Andressa Fernandes (Framingham, Mass.) added 13 to go along with 16 digs.  Sophomore Annie DeLoid (Plymouth, Mass.) chipped in nine kills, while sophomore Danielle Girard (Tivoli, N.Y.) and freshman Julia Wan (South Deerfield, Mass.) chipped in eight apiece.  Junior Maribeth Martin (Barnstable, Mass.) picked up 25 assists, while classmate Morgan Drew (North Easton, Mass.) added 16.

The Saints received a strong game from sophomore Shannon Dudley (Morro Bay, Calif.) with 21 assists and 12 digs to go along with an ace.  Sophomore Brittany Tutalo (Johnston, R.I.) and freshman Cassie Chruscielski (Duluth, Minn.) led the Saints attack with six kills apiece, while junior Cara Callahan (Medway, Mass.) was solid in the back row with 25 digs.

The Rams return to action on Saturday afternoon with a non-conference tri-match at Salve Regina, while the Saints travel to Brandeis for a non-conference tri-match also on Saturday.
