Nashua, NH - The Rivier University women's volleyball team earned their 16th win of the season on Wednesday night as they defeated visiting Framingham State University 3-0 in the Muldoon Gymnasium.

The Raiders (16-9) were pushed to the brink in the first set as they battled game point on the last few volleys. Rivier would claim a 29-27 victory on an attack error and then proceed to take the following two sets by 25-18 and 25-20.

Junior Nicole Peacock (Warwick, RI) paced the Raider offense as she had a .650 hitting percentage to go along with 14 kills. Peacock also added three block assists on her stellar night. Senior Kenna Finlayson (Derry, NH) knocked down 10 kills, her 7th double-digit effort in her last eight games. Freshman libero Nikki Deluga (Cotuit, MA) had a fantastic defensive night as she recorded 11 digs.

Framingham State (19-7 overall) was led by junior Andressa Fernandes (Framingham, Mass.), who had 12 kills and a .348 hitting percentage. Fernandes also had two block assists and a service ace in the loss. Sophomore Michelle DeJesus (Framingham, Mass.) recorded 10 digs and classmate Kassandra Jermyn (Auburn, Mass.) chipped in 24 assists.

Rivier will return to GNAC action in their next matchup as they host both Mount Ida College and Simmons College in a Saturday tri-match at the Muldoon Gymnasium. Framingham will also be back in action on Saturday as they travel to Lasell College for a non-conference tri-match with the Lasers and Babson.
