Fernandes Repeats as MASCAC Volleyball Player of the Week

Framingham, Mass. – Junior outside hitter Andressa Fernandes (Framingham, Mass.) has been selected the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending October 14th.   

Fernandes has been named the MASCAC Volleyball Player of the Week five out of six weeks this season that the MASCAC has selected a player of the week including the last four in a row.  She averaged 14.3 kills and 9.3 digs in a 2-1 week for the Rams.  She picked up 21 kills and 11 digs in a 3-1 victory over Bridgewater State to go along with nine kills, seven digs and a pair of blocks in a 3-0 victory over Worcester State.  With the pair of MASCAC triumphs, the Rams are now in sole possession of first place in the conference standings with one MASCAC match left to play.  Fernandes continues leads the MASCAC in kills averaging 3.97 per set and is second in hitting percentage (.343) to teammate Ashley Nee (Hanson, Mass.).
