Volleyball Falls to Westfield State in MASCAC Semifinals - Trudeau Registers 1,000 Career Kill
Westfield, Mass. - The Westfield State women's volleyball team advanced to the MASCAC tournament championship match with a 3-0 (25-11, 25-11, 25-21) victory over Framingham State in the semifinals on Saturday morning, Nov. 7.
In the third game, the score was tied at 18-all when Westfield finally pulled away.
Seniors Rachel Ryan and Stephanie Bartkus sparked the Owls (18-15 overall) with 11 and 10 kills, respectively. April Gordon had eight kills and Kerin DeGirolamo recorded 36 assists. Katie Kurty collected 14 digs.
Framingham junior Ashley Trudeau had a game-high 12 kills, including her 1,000th career kill.
The Rams finished their season with a 14-17 overall record.
