Volleyball Finishes 1-3 at BSC Halloween Classic - Trudeau Selected to All-Tournament Team

Bridgewater, Mass. - The Framingham State College volleyball team went 1-1 on day two of the Bridgewater State College Halloween Classic defeating Massachusetts Maritime 3-0 and losing to Plymouth State University 3-0.  The Rams finish the tournament 1-3 having lost two matches on Friday night. 

Plymouth State won the tournament as they went 4-0 on the weekend.  Finishing second was host Bridgewater State who went 3-1. Worcester State finished third at 2-2 while the the Rams came in fourth at 1-3 and Mass. Maritime finished fifth at 0-4.

Junior Ashley Trudeau (Rockland, Mass.) was selected to the All-Tournament team.  Eliza Badeau of Plymouth State was selected the tournament Most Valuable Player.

The Rams defeated Mass. Maritime this morning by scores of 25-6, 25-13 and 25-10.  Trudeau picked up a game-high 16 kills to go along with 11 digs.  Classmate Jessi Goode (Marston Mills, Mass.) added 29 assists and six digs.

The Rams lost their second match of the day to Plymouth State by scored of 25-8, 25-14 and 25-14.  Trudeau led the Rams once again with nine kills and eleven digs.

The Rams return to action next Saturday as they are the fourth seed in the MASCAC Tournament and will face top seed Westfield State.
