Bridgewater, Mass. - The Plymouth State University volleyball team is in first place after day one action at the 2009 BSC Halloween Classic.  The Panthers are 2-0 at the tournament with 3-0 wins over both Bridgewater State College and Mass. Maritime Academy.

Bridgewater State, and Worcester State College are 1-1, followed by Framingham State and Mass. Maritime who are all 0-2.  The host Bears defeated Framingham, 3-0, but lost to tournament leader Plymouth.

The remainder of the tournament will take place on Saturday starting at 10 AM from the Tinsley Center in Bridgewater.  Below are Friday's results plus match statistical leaders:
