Volleyball Picks Up 3-2 Win Over MCLA

North Adams, Mass. - The Framingham State College volleyball team picked up a key conference win on the road today 3-2 over the MCLA Trailblazers. With the win, the Rams improve to 2-3 in Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women's volleyball action and inch closer to .500 at 12-13.  The loss drops the Trailblazers to 1-4 in conference and 11-11 overall.

The Rams won the match by scored of 27-25, 14-25, 25-21, 18-25 and 15-9.

Junior Nicole Donofrio (Whitman, Mass.) had solid all around game for the Rams as she picked up eight kills to go along with a team-high26 digs and 26 service receptions.  Classmates Jessi Goode (Marston Mills, Mass.) and Ashley Trudeau (Rockland, Mass.) also had strong games. Goode picked up a team-high 40 assists to go along with 11 digs, while Trudeau contributed a team-high 20 kills.  Lauren Kasischke (Methuen, Mass.) added 15 kills and 2.5 blocks, while freshman Courtney Moylan (Bourne, Mass.) chipped in 24 digs.

The Rams return to action on Thursday as the host Salem State at 6 p.m. with a spot in the conference tournament on the line.
