Volleyball Rallies for 3-1 Win Over Suffolk

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State College volleyball team picked up a 3-1 win tonight over Suffolk University in non-conference women's volleyball action at Framingham's Athletic Center tonight. With the win, the Framingham State Rams improve to 11-13 on the season, while the Suffolk University Rams fall to 7-16.

Suffolk won the first set 25-20 before Framingham State came charging back to take the second 27-25 on a service ace by junior Nicole Donofrio (Whitman, Mass.).  Framingham State then won the next two by scores of 25-17 and 25-18 to win the match.

Framingham State was led by junior Jessi Good and Donofrio who both had solid all around games.  Goode racked up a team-high 29 assists, 15 digs to go along with 10 service receptions and no errors.  Donofrio finished the match with four aces, eight kills, and 11 digs.  Classmate Ashley Trudeau (Rockland, Mass.) added a game-high 17 kills and 13 digs.  Lauren Kasischke (Methuen, Mass.) chipped in nine kills and eight digs.

The Rams return to action on Saturday as they travel to MCLA for a noon match, while Suffolk travels to Lasell next Tuesday at 7 p.m.
