Volleyball Finishes 2-2 at UMD Invitational

North Dartmouth, Mass. - The Framingham State College volleyball team lost two matches today at the second day of the UMass Dartmouth Invitational. The Rams lost their first match 3-1 against Simmons College by scores of 25-14, 25-19, 19-25 and 25-16.  They dropped the second match of the day to host UMass Dartmouth 3-0 by scores of 25-17, 25-22 and 25-19.

Junior outside hitter Ashley Trudeau (Rockland, MA) was selected to the All-Tournament Team for the second straight weekend.  Trudeau averaged 11.5 kills and 14.3 digs per match as the Rams went 2-2 in the Tournament.

Against Simmons College in the first match on Saturday, Trudeau had a team-high 12 kills, while junior Lauren Kasischke (Methuen, MA) added eight kills.  Jessi Goode (Marston Mills, MA) led the Rams defense with a team-high 17 digs.

In their final match of the tournament, Trudeau amassed team-highs in both kills and digs with eight kills and 21 digs.  Goode added 12 digs, while Kasischke chipped in 10 digs and five aces.
