Volleyball Snaps Four Game Slide With 3-0 Win

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State College volleyball team snapped a four game losing streak tonight with a 3-0 win over Daniel Webster College in non-conference action at Framingham's Athletic & Recreation Center.  The Rams (2-4) won by scores of 25-17, 25-20, and 25-17.  The match was the season opener for Daniel Webster who is now 0-1.

The Rams were once again led by junior outside hitter Ashley Trudeau (Rockland, MA) who picked up a team-high nine assists to go along with 11 digs and a block.  Fellow junior Jessi Goode (Marston Mills, MA) chipped in 11 digs and picked up ten service points on the night including the final five points of the match. 

Junior Nicole Donofrio (Whitman, MA) and freshman Jackie Friel (Centerville, MA) each chipped in two blocks including a block late in the third set that put the Rams on top for good in the frame.  Donofrio also added five kills and five digs.

The Rams return to action on Friday as they face Eastern Nazarene at 6 p.m. in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational, while the Eagles host St. Joseph's (CT) at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
