Women's Outdoor Track & Field Slated to Finish Fifth in MASCAC Preseason Poll

Westfield, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's outdoor track and field team has been tabbed to finish fifth in 2024 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Preseason Poll in voting conducted by league's coaches and announced by the conference office this morning.

The Rams sit in the fifth spot with ten total points and return senior thrower Alyssa Caputo who placed fourth in both the hammer and shotput last year at the MASCAC Championships.

Westfield State has been selected by the coaches to win the conference in 2024. The Owls received four first place votes and 24 total points, while reigning outdoor champion Bridgewater State has been slated to finish second with 22 points and the final two first place votes.

Worcester State claimed the third spot with 15 points, while Fitchburg State has been slated sixth with 14 points.  Massachusetts Maritime has been slated to finish sixth behind the Rams with five total points.

The Rams open the season on March 23rd at the BSU Bears Invitational.
