Falcons Downs Women’s Soccer on Senior Day

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State women's soccer team was defeated by Fitchburg State in the final regular season contest Saturday afternoon in Framingham. Prior to the game the Rams honored the three Rams seniors playing in their final season: Jetta Oskirko (Lancaster, Mass.), Serina Broderick (Roslindale, Mass.) & Regan Fein (North Attleboro, Mass.).  

THE BASICS: 

- Score:  Fitchburg State 4, Framingham State 1 

- Records: Fitchburg State (3-10-4, 2-3-2 MASCAC) Framingham State (1-12-2. 1-5-1 MASCAC) 

- Location: Maple Street Field Framingham, Mass. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • The Falcons jumped to an early 1-0 lead when Ashley Porter finished off a setup from Charolotte Meixsell in the 3rd minute.  

  • Fitchburg added to the their lead just over ten minutes later when Porter struck again in the 15th minute.  

  • Noelle Kennedy scored twice early in the second half to put the visitors ahead 4-0. 

  • Julia Rosano scored for the Rams in the 76thminute to put the Rams on the board but that's all they would get.  

  • Skyla Vaudo made six save in the win for Fitchburg. 

  • Oskirko and Fein split time in goal for the Rams making 14 saves combined.  

  • The Falcons outshot the Rams 30-to-12 in the contest.
