Women’s Soccer and MMA Play to Scoreless Draw

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State women's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw with Mass Martime in MASCAC action Saturday afternoon 

THE BASICS: 

- Score:  Framingham State 0, Mass Maritime 0 

- Records: Framingham State (1-11-1, 1-4-1 MASCAC), Mass Maritime (2-7-1, 1-3-2 MASCAC) 

- Location: Maple Street Field Framingham, Mass. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • The Rams had a good look with about 20 minutes left in the first when Tellier had a flurry of shots blocked and saved which brought the match to halftime with no score.  

  • In the 65thminute a Bucs foul outside the box set up a Rams direct kick from about 20 yards out but Hailey Baker's shot was saved by MMA keeper Reagen Kerecz.  

  • The Rams had another great look in the 72nd minute when Grayson Tellier sent a one-time pass just over the crossbar.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams outshot the Bucs 17-to-7 on the day and had a few great opprtunities to score. 

  • MMA keeper Reagan Kerecz made six saves in the shutout while Rams keeper Regan Fein made one save to earn the shutout on her end. 

UP NEXT:  

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Fisher from non-league action. The Buccaneers are idle until Saturday when they close the regular season with a MASCAC clash with Worcester State.
