Lesley Bests Women’s Soccer

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State women's soccer team was defeated by Lesley University in non-conference action by a score of 5-0 Wednesday afternoon in Framingham.  

THE BASICS: 

- Score:  Lesley 5, Framingham State 0 

- Records: Framingham State (1-10), Lesley (9-4) 

- Location: Maple Street Field Framingham, Mass. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • Both teams played to a scoreless first half even though the Lynx outshot the Rams 10-to-1 in the first half.  

  • In the 56thminute the Lynx had a great look in front of the net but Rams keeper Regan Fein tipped it over the crossbar.  

  • In the 61stminute Lesley broke the scoreless match when Haile Carrill-Hayes send in a long strike that tucked into the top left corner.  

  • A few moments later Sage Henry found the back of the net for the visitors to push their lead to two.  

  • In the 75thminute Henry finished off a pass from Kika Diaz and at the 77-minute mark Kylie Chagnon scored on a long strike and Chagnon scored again on a corner in the final minutes. 

  • Madison Reed made two stops in the shutout win for the Lynx. Fein made ten saves in the setback for the Rams.

The Lynx return to action on Saturday when they host Husson at 12:30. The Rams will travel to Worcester State on Saturday at noon.
