Framingham, Mass. – The Bridgewater State women's soccer team scored a goal in each half en route to a 2-0 MASCAC conference win over Framingham State Saturday afternoon at Maple Street Field. 

THE BASICS: 

- Score:  Bridgewater State 2, Framingham State 0 

- Records: Framingham State (1-7, 1-2 MASCAC), Bridgewater State (5-3, 3-0 MASCAC) 

- Location: Maple State Field Framingham, Mass. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • The Bears jumped out to an early lead when Sydney Dewhurst got them on the board with an assist from Mia Chrisafideis.  

  • Bridgewater added an insurance tally early in the second when Jenna Sweeney scored again with the helper coming from Chrisafideis.  

  • The Bears held the pace for most of the contest outshooting the Rams 30-to-5 on the day.  

  • Jetta Oskirko kept the game close by making nine stops in net for the Rams. 

  • Tori Gemellaro earned the shutout making four saves for the Bears.  

  

UP NEXT:  

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Keene State at 4:30pm. The Bears will travel to Lesley for non-league play on Tuesday evening.
