Framingham, Mass.– Framingham State's Calen Frongillo (Franklin, Mass.) scored the game's lone goal in the 7th minute to lead the Rams to a 1-0 win over Salem State in MASCAC play Saturday afternoon at Maple Street Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Frongillo scored the only goal of the game in the 7th minute when a Rams player's shot on net was saved and bobbled by Vikings goalie Lily Pfefferle (St. Paul, MN). A Salem defender attempted to clear the ball but was settled by Frongillo and sent into the open net to give the Rams the only score they would need.

Rams keeper Jetta Oskirko (Lancaster, Mass.) made five saves in the shutout win for Framingham State.

Pfefferle made six saves in the setback for the Vikings.

The Rams controlled the pace outshooting the Vikings 14-to-6 including a 10-to-4 mark in the second half.

The Rams return to the field on Wednesday afternoon when they host Keene State in non-conference action at 4:30pm. The Vikings will host Endicott in a non-conference tilt on Tuesday at 7pm.
