Women’s Soccer Plays to 1-1 Draw at Elms

Chicopee, Mass.– The Framingham State women's soccer team played to a 1-1 tie after two overtime periods in non-league action Wednesday evening on the road at Elms College.    

THE BASICS:

- Score: Elms 1, Framingham State 1

- Records: Framingham State (0-2-1), Elms (2-1-1)

Location: Leary Field – Chicopee, Mass.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The host Blazers opened the scoring in the 24th minute when Morgan Foucault scored off a helper from Kayla Pasquel.
  • In the 59th minute Rams newcomer Kaitlyn Monroe scored an unassisted tally to knot the game at 1.
  • Both teams had some opportunities in extra time but the keepers on both sides held the game scoreless.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

  • Freshman Jetta Oskirko made thirteen saves in net for the Rams
  • Gianna Liquori made four saves in the draw for the Blazers.
  • Elms held the advantage in shots 22-to-10 and shots on net 14-to-5. The hosts also had nine corner kick opportunities to the Rams six.
