Women’s Soccer Blanked at Salve Regina

Newport, RI- The Framingham State women's soccer team was defeated in non-conference action by a score of 1-0 on the road at Salve Regina Wednesday afternoon at Reynolds field.

With the win the Seahawks improve to 7-4-1 while the Rams fall to 3-7.

Salve junior Francesca Galeazzi (Lynn, Mass.) scored the games lone goal, her second of the season in the 33rd minute.

Sophomores Carly Pala (New Milford, Conn.) and Morgan McBrier (North Kingstown, R.I.) split time in goal for the team's third consecutive shutout. Framingham State goalkeeper Keyonzia Gagne-Lamoureux (East Brookfield, Mass.) made eight saves while Pala (four) and McBrier (two) combined for six stops.

Salve Regina outshot the Rams 13-to-12 and was awarded two corner kicks while the Rams did not take a corner in the contest.

The Rams return to action on Saturday, October 8th when they host Westfield State. Salve Regina will travel to Endicott on the same day.
