Women's Soccer Earns Fourth Seed in ECAC Tournament

Centerville, Mass. – The 2013 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) regular season champion Framingham State University women's soccer team has been selected as the fourth seed in the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Women's Soccer Championship.

After finishing the regular-season with a 17-2-3 record, Roger Williams University was selected as the No. 1 seed in the eight-team field, with a quarterfinal round followed by a semifinal and championship round. 

The Rams are making their first post season and ECAC Tournament appearance since 2003 and are led by the 2013 MASCAC women's soccer player of the year in senior midfielder Kayla Austin (Winchester, Mass.).

In the first-round contests on Wednesday, Nov. 13, Roger Williams University (17-2-3) will host Elms College (11-9-1) at 1 p.m., while the second seed, Brandeis University (10-6-2), will face No. 7 Castleton State College (13-8-1) at 7 p.m. at Brandeis.  No. 3 Wheaton College (14-6-2) plays Eastern Nazerene College (11-7-1) at 1:30 p.m. at Wheaton and Framingham State University (13-2-1) will take on Albertus Magnus College (12-4-3) at 1 p.m. in the No. 4/No. 5 match-up at Framingham State. 

The first-round winners will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 15 hosted by a site to be determined dependent upon Wednesday's results. The winner of Roger Williams/Elms will face the winner of Framingham State/Albertus Magnus in one semifinal and the winner of Brandeis/Castleton State and the winner of Wheaton College/Eastern Nazerene in the other semifinal. The semifinal winners will meet Sunday, Nov. 16 for the championship at the same site.

No. 7 Castleton State University at No. 2 Brandeis University, 1 p.m.
No. 6 Eastern Nazerene College at No. 3 Wheaton College, 1:30 p.m.
No. 5 Albertus Magnus College at No. 4 Framingham State University, 1 p.m.

Semifinals – Saturday, November 16 at Site To Be Determined

The ECAC is the nation's largest and the only multi-divisional athletic conference in the country with more than 300 Divisions I, II, and III colleges and universities. The ECAC stretches from Maine to North Carolina and westerly to Colorado.
