Keene, N.H. – Junior Hayley Kenyon (Exeter, R.I.) tied a school record with four goals, all in the first half, to lead the Keene State College women's soccer team to a 7-2 non-conference win over Framingham State University at Owl Athletic Complex on Tuesday.

The Owls (7-5) extended their winning streak to six games.  Framingham State (4-5) saw its three game winning streak come to an end.

Kenyon, who now has a team-high 10 goals this season, joined a long list of Owl players who have netted four goals in the game.  Katie Bradford was the last KSC playing to accomplish the feat, doing it against UMass-Dartmouth on Oct. 9, 2010.

Playing on the slick Owl Athletic Complex field did not seem to bother Kenyon, who started the scoring spree five minutes into the first half when she went around Ram sophomore goalie McKenzie Vershon (Chicopee, Mass.) and tucked the ball into the net.  Kenyon scored her second goal less than two minutes later, taking a cross from junior Brittany Boscarino (Ellington, Conn.) and volleying the ball into the net.

KSC temporarily dodged a bullet when FSU sophomore Marisa Parent (Revere. Mass.) and junior Marissa D'Angelo (Whitman, Mass.) hit the cross bar on consecutive headers.  Junior Kayla Austin (Winchester, Mass.) made it a 2-1 gave finding the back of the net from 25-yards out at the 32:18 mark.

Kenyon then went back to work.  Taking a cross from sophomore Katie Piersiak (Medfield, Mass.), Kenyon buried a bullet into the far corner for her third goal. Her fourth and final goal of the half came with 6:58 to go when she finished off a through ball from Amber Pelletier (Coventry, Conn.).

Senior Elise Bolster (Narragansett, R.I.) netted the Owls fifth goal of the half and her first of the season when she dribbled in and fired the ball past Vershon to give KSC a 5-1 halftime lead.

Able to get behind the Rams' defensive trap all game, Kenyon almost scored a record fifth goal early in the second half, but her bid went just wide of the net.

The two teams traded direct kick goals.  Austin got her second of the game to make it 5-2. Senior Brittany Croteau (Swanzey, N.H.) answered with her third goal of the season to give KSC a 6-2 lead.

Junior Jessica Berthiaume (Worcester, Mass.) finished off the scoring with her sixth goal of the season.

Keene State outshot the Rams 21-12 and took all four corner kicks in the game.

Sophomore Torrie Crenson (North Salem, N.Y.) played the first half in goal for the Owls and made one save.  Freshman Kathryn Hoar (Plymouth, Mass.) came in and made one save in her 42 minutes of action.  Sophomore Holly Bourassa (Amherst, N.H.) played the final three minutes and made one save in the closing seconds of play.

Vershon stopped seven shots in the first half for the Rams before giving way to freshman Jess Anthony (Stoneham, Mass.), who played the second half and made one save.

Both teams return to conference play on Saturday.  The Owls hit the road for a key Little East Conference game against Eastern Conn. while Framingham State returns home and faces Bridgewater State in a MASCAC game at 12 p.m.
