Bio

Stacey Freda enters her third season on the sidelines for the Rams. She brings 21 years of coaching experience to Framingham State, 19 seasons as a head coach. Freda has successfully guided the Billerica High School and Framingham High School varsity teams to post-season appearances in each of her 19 seasons. Earlier this year, Freda was named the head coach at Lexington High School. 

Freda’s teams have enjoyed 7 League Championships, 7 Division 1 North Section Championships and 3 Massachusetts Division 1 State Titles (2006, 2007 & 2010). In the process, Stacey has amassed 290 career varsity wins and has coached a total of 13 US Lacrosse All-Americans.  Freda was named the Boston Globe “Coach of the Year” in 2003 and 2010 and was also honored as the Metrowest Daily News "Coach of the Year” in 2003 and 2008. 

In addition to presenting at regional conventions, Stacey has also been a presenter at the US Lacrosse National Convention.

Freda also serves as the director of coaching and player development for the Bay State Bullets girl's lacrosse club based out of Framingham.

A 1995 graduate of Plymouth State University, the former soccer and lacrosse standout was named 1st team All-America as a senior and went on to win Plymouth State's Female Athlete of the Year Award in 1995 and was inducted into the PSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2004.
