Women’s Lacrosse Falls to Conn. College

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's lacrosse team saw their ten game win streak come to a close today as they were defeated 17-4 by Connecticut College in non-conference action this afternoon at Maple Street.

- Records: Framingham State (10-3), Conn. College (7-6)

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • Conn. College grabbed a 2-0 lead with a pair of goals in the game's first four minutes, but Molly Lanier got the Rams on the board with ten minutes to go in the first closing the gap to 2-1. The Camels closed the first with four straight to lead 6-1 after one. 

  • After the Camels opened the second with a goal, Rachel Erickson found the back of the net closing the gap to 7-2 with just over 10 to play. Two straight by the Camels pushed the lead to 9-2 with just under six to go, but a tally from Hannah Guerin closed the gap to 9-3 at the half. 

  • Conn. College tallied the first goal of the third, but a goal from Hailey Baker made the score 10-4 midway through the third. Conn. College led 11-4 after three and tallied six in the final stanza to reach the final margin. 

  • Isabella DiMare took the loss in net for the Rams but made 10 saves. 

  • Guerin and Erickson finished the game with a goal and an assist apiece.
