Women's Lacrosse Flies Past Keene State 15-9 - Guerin Sets New FSU Career Points Record

Panama City Beach, Fla. - The Framingham State University women's lacrosse extended their current win streak to six games with a 15-9 victory over Keene State this morning in non-conference action at The Spring Fling.  Senior Hannah Guerin tallied eight points in the game and became the FSU all-time career leader for points.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • Guerin entered the game with 281 career points and was just two behind Grace Gamache's career mark of 283 points established during her career from 2017-20 Guerin tied the career mark with a goal nine minutes into the game and established a new mark with a goal just under four minutes into the second period. After today's game, Guerin now sits at 289 career points. 

  • Keene State jumped out to a 2-0 lead early, but the Rams used a 5-0 run to take a 5-2 lead with just over nine to play in the first. Guerin and Molly Lanier each scored twice on the run. 

  • After a Keene goal, the Rams closed the period with a pair of tallies from Leah Green and a goal from Alessia Lye to lead 8-3 after one. 

  • The Rams pushed the lead to 9-3 on a Guerin tally to open the second, but the Owls scored the final two of the frame and trailed 9-5 at the half. 

  • In the third, the Rams closed the frame with two straight markers to lead 13-7 going to final quarter. 

  • Keene struck first in the fourth, but back-to-back goals from Guerin put the Rams up 15-8 with just under five to play. Keene would add one more goal to reach the final margin. 

  • Guerin paced the Rams in the game with her six goals and two assists, while Green finished the game with four goals and two helpers. 

  • Lanier finished the day with three goals, while Rachel Erickson finished with a goal and three assists. 

  • Isabella DiMare earned the victory in the net making 11 saves.
