Women’s Lacrosse Opens MASCAC Play with 20-7 Victory over Mass. Maritime

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's lacrosse cruised to a 20-7 victory over Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Maple Street Field.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams opened the game with a 6-0 spurt over the first five minutes that included a pair of goals from Hannah Guerin and a pair from Molly Lanier. 

  • The Bucs got on the board at 9:16 of the first, but the Rams used a Regan Fein tally to lead 7-1 after one. 

  • The Rams started the second period with goals from Guerin and Fein pushing the lead to 9-1. The Bucs scored three of the next four goals of the game to cut the deficit to 10-4 with just over seven to play.  

  • The Rams scored the final three goals of the half to lead 14-4. Rachel Erickson tallied four first half goals for the Rams. 

  • The Rams extended their lead to 20-4 after three periods with Brandi Core adding a pair of goals in the frame. 

  • Mass. Maritime found the back of the net three times in the fourth to reach the final margin. 

  • Erickson finished the game with five goals for the Rams, while Guerin finished the day with four goals and four assists. 

  • Fein tallied a pair of markers with two helpers, while Lanier and Leah Green finished the night with three goals apiece and an assist. 

  • Allie Dickinson led the Bucs with three goals and an assist, while Sarah Naar scored twice. 

  • Isabella DiMare earned the victory in net and made four saves, while Madison Selby took the loss but made 14 stops for Mass. Maritime.
