Women's Lacrosse Shoots Past Worcester State 15-9

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's lacrosse team defeated Worcester State University 15-9 this evening in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Maple Street Field.

-Scores:  Framingham State 15, Worcester State 9 

-Records: Framingham State (9-6, 4-1 MASCAC), Worcester State (8-8, 4-2 MASCAC)

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • The Rams jumped out to a 3-0 lead just under five minutes into the game after two goals from Rachel Erickson and one from Maddy Skiff. 

  • The Lancers used a 4-1 run tying the game 4-4, but the Rams closed the quarter with three straight including a pair from Hannah Guerin to lead 7-4 after one. 

  • The Lancers struck first in the second with a goal from Clare Conway, but the Rams closed the half with three straight including two from Guerin to lead 10-5 at the half. 

  • Worcester State tallied a goal from Makayla Fisher to start the third, but the Rams added two goals from Leah Green to lead 12-6 after three. 

  • Worcester closed the gap to five in the opening minute of the fourth, but two straight by the Rams pushed the lead back to seven as the Rams secured the victory. 

  • Alexis Burleigh earned the win in net making nine saves, while Isabella DiMare came on in the second half and made eight stops. 

  • Savanna Rosado took the loss for the Lancers but made seven stops. 

  • Guerin finished the game with five goals and two assists for the Rams, while Erickson finished the game with four goals and two helpers. 

  • Green finished the game with three goals, while Regan Fein finished with three helpers.
