Women's Lacrosse Cruises to 20-8 Victory over Eastern Connecticut

Willimantic, Conn. - The Framingham State University women's lacrosse team was back in action this afternoon and defeated Eastern Connecticut 20-8 in non-conference action at the Mansfield Sports Complex. 

THE BASICS: 

-Scores:  Framingham State 20, Eastern Conn. 8 

-Records: Framingham State (6-5), Eastern Connecticut (2-6)  

- Location: Mansfield Sports Complex Willimantic, Conn. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • The Rams started the game with an 8-0 run and led 8-1 after one quarter. Madison Skiff, Hannah Guerin and Rachel Erickson tallied two goals apiece in the opening frame. 

  • The Rams extended the lead to 15-2 after two with Regan Fein, Molly Lanier and Erickson each scoring twice in the frame. 

  • The Rams continued to maintain the large lead throughout the third and fourth quarters. 

  • Rachel Erickson finished the game with five goals and three assists for the Rams, while Fein finished the game with five goals. 

  • Guerin chipped in with three goals and three assists, while Lanier finished the game with two goals and an assist. 

  • Alexis Burleigh earned the victory in net making 10 saves.
