Women's Lacrosse Lands Seven on All-MASCAC Teams – Rippey Named Coach of the Year
Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's lacrosse team landed seven players on the 2019 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) All-Conference Teams and head coach James Rippey was recognized as the 2019 Champion's Choice Coach of the Year in voting conducted by the league's coaches and announced by the conference office this morning.
Junior attack Grace Gamache (Dartmouth, Mass.) and sophomore midfielder Hanna McMahon (Watertown, Mass.) were selected to the first team, while sophomore attack Alissa Marino (Trumbull, Conn.), junior midfielder Nicole Pacheco (Woburn, Mass.), senior defender Bailey Donelly (Framingham, Mass.), junior defender Casey Bradley (Canton, Mass.) and senior goalie Indigo Fox Tree-McGrath (Bedford, Mass.) were named to the second team.
Rippey earns his first coach of the year honor after leading the Rams to the program's first MASCAC Regular Season title and the top seed in the conference tournament. The Rams finished the season 15-4 overall and were a perfect 7-0 in league action.
Gamache, earns her third straight first team nod, after leading the MASCAC in scoring in 2019 with 96 points and assists with 53. Gamache tallied 43 goals and 53 assists on the year as she became the FSU career scoring leader.
McMahon earns her first All-MASCAC honor after tallying 33 goals with nine assists and 57 draw controls during her second season with the Rams.
Marino also earns her first all-conference honors after leading the MASCAC with 63 goals on the season. Marino scored her 100th career goal during the season and added 15 assists for 78 points. Pacheco earns her third straight second team selection after tallying 26 goals and 10 assists with 43 ground balls, 39 draw controls and 26 caused turnovers during her third season with the Rams.
Donelly repeats as an All-MASCAC selection while Bradley earns her first all-conference honors after anchoring the Rams defense this season. Donelly caused 17 turnovers on the year and collected 29 ground balls, while Bradley added 17 caused turnovers and 35 ground balls with a goal and an assist.
Fox Tree-McGrath earns her third straight selection after going 15-4 in net for the Rams. She made 117 saves on the year with an 8.44 goals against average.
