Women’s Lacrosse Closes Spring Break Trip with 12-3 Victory over Huntingdon

Montgomery, Ala. – The Framingham State University women's lacrosse team closed their spring break southern trip this afternoon with a 12-3 victory over Huntingdon University at Samford Stadium.  With the win, the Rams improve to 5-0 on the year, while Huntingdon is now 1-7.

Leading 4-2 at the half, the Rams rattled off the seven goals of the second half to take control of the contest.  Senior Lindsay Nixon (Woburn, Mass.) tallied three goals in the game, all in the second half.  Nixon finished the game with three goals and two assists for five points.

Sophomore Shae Riley (Fairhaven, Mass.) also recorded five points in the game with two goals and three helpers, while freshman Rylee Holmes (Hanson, Mass.) added two goals and two assists, while junior Kristen Keenan (Methuen, Mass.) tallied a pair of goals.

Sophomore Indigo Fox Tree-McGrath (Bedford, Mass.) improved to 5-0 in net this season.  Fox Tree-McGrath allowed just three goals while making seven saves.

The Rams are back in action on Wednesday, March 22nd when they host Wellesley College at 6 p.m.
