Women's Lacrosse Rattles off 8-2 Victory at Nichols College

Dudley, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's lacrosse team received two goals apiece from three players as the Rams defeated Nichols College 8-2 this evening in non-conference action at Vendetti Field.

With the win, the Rams improve to 2-0 on the young season, while the Bison dip to 1-2.

Junior Kimmy Foley (Mansfield, Mass.), freshman Nicole Pacheco (Woburn, Mass.) and sophomore Shae Riley (Fairhaven, Mass.) tallied two goals apiece for the visitors, while Riley also added an assist for three points in the contest.

The Bison were paced by junior Allison Bench and sophomore Kirsten Sullivan who tallied a goal apiece.

The Bison led 2-1 with 16 minutes left in the first half after a free position shot from Sullivan, but the Rams scored the final seven goals of the game to wrap up the victory.  Riley knotted the game at 2-2 with just over 11 minutes left in the first and senior Lindsay Nixon tallied the goal ahead marker just four minutes later.

Sophomore Indigo Fox Tree-McGrath (Bedford, Mass.) earned her second victory of the season allowing two goals with four saves, while Emily Egan took the loss for the Bison making 12 stops.

The rams are back in action on Sunday afternoon in Atlanta, Ga. when they face Oglethorpe at 1 p.m.
