Weston, Mass. – Freshman goalie Indigo Fox Tree-McGrath (Bedford, Mass.) saved a free position shot by Rachel Gagnon with three seconds remaining to propel the Framingham State University women's lacrosse team to a thrilling 7-6 victory this evening over Regis College in non-conference action at Regis Stadium.

With the victory, the Rams improve to 8-6 on the year, while the Pride falls to 9-6 with the set back.

Regis grabbed a 1-0 lead just five minutes into the game, but the Rams tallied the final five goals of the first half to take a 5-1 lead at the break.  Sophomore Kimmy Foley (Mansfield, Mass.) tied the game with her first of the contest at 22:46 and sophomore Kristen Keenan (Methuen, Mass.) found the back of the net at 16:46 to put the Rams on top for good.  Junior Kristen Hoggins (Harvard, Mass.) tallied two straight for the Rams just over a minute apart and Foley closed the first half scoring with her second of the game.

Regis cut the deficit to three with a goal by Emily Kosak just over two minutes into the second half, but back-to-back goals from Foley pushed the lead back to five at 7-2 with 22 minutes remaining.

Regis chipped away at the lead and pulled within three as Mary Roma and Linsay Bumila scored to shave the lead to 7-4 with 7:44 to play.  Kosak added a free position shot with just over five remaining to pull the Pride within two.

Emma Decker came up with a pair of saves late for the Pride before Gagnon's free position shot found the back of the net with 45 seconds to play to bring the Pride within a goal.

Regis had once chance left but Fox Tree-McGrath came up with the game winning save off Gagnon's free position attempt in the closing seconds to preserve the win.

Roma and Emily Kosak (Milton, Mass.) both scored a pair of goals for Regis.

Foley paced the Rams with four goals, while Hoggins added two for the Rams.

Decker posted five saves in net for Regis, while Fox Tree-McGrath earned the victory in net and was credited with eight in goal for Framingham State.

The Rams are back to conference action on Saturday when they travel to Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
