Women’s Lacrosse Runs Past Albertus Magnus

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's lacrosse teams defeated the Albertus Magnus Falcons 12-5 in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon at Maple Street Field. With the win the Rams improve to 3-2 and the Falcon fall to 1-10.

The Rams opened up the scoring when sophomore Jessica Graham (Woburn) scored in the second minute of play, one of two goals for Graham on the day. The Rams were paced by senior Zoe Reilly (Boyertown, PA) who netted 4 goals and an assist. Kimmy Foley (Mansfield) also scored a pair of goals and sophomore Tori Lane (West Newbury/Pentucket) added a game-high 3 assists.

The Rams scored the first 5 tallies before the Falcons answered with a Nikki Kern goal in the 8th minute of the 1st half. The Rams took a 9-3 lead into the break and Reilly scored two of her four goals to open the second frame to extend the Rams lead to 11-3.

Jenny Luna lead the Falcons with a goal and two assists while Kelly Kennedy, Miranda Jassil & Fekianne Charles each netted a goal for Albertus Magnus.

Maria Case made four saves in net for the Falcons and freshman Kelsey Morgan (Southborough/ Algonquin) made nine saves on the day for the Rams.

Albertus Magnus returns to action on Saturday, April 4th when they travel to St. Joseph's (ME) for a GNAC matchup. The Rams play the same day when the host MCLA on the same day at noon in MASCAC action.
