Women's Lacrosse Falls at MIT

Cambridge, Mass. – The MIT women's lacrosse team tallied ten first half goals as the Engineers defeated the Framingham State University Rams 18-2 this evening in non-conference action.  With the win, MIT improves to 7-2 on the season, while the Rams slip to 2-4.

Freshman Amy Rotger (Revere, Mass.) tallied both Ram goals in the game as she upped her season total to nine goals.  Classmates Kayla Hopkins (Lakeville, Mass.) and Lindsay Nixon (Wourn, Mass.) each recorded assists in the game.

MIT received five goals from Isabella DiDio and three and an assist from Lyndsy Muri.  Kristyn Barretta, Keeley Erhardt and Kira Schott tallied two goals apiece.

Sophomore Alysha Cericola (Waltham, Mass.) suffered the loss in net making eight saves as the Engineers held a 33-12 edge in shots for the game.

The Rams are back in action on Thursday evening with a non-conference game at Nichols College at 7 p.m.
