Women's Lacrosse Falls 16-7 at Becker in Season Opener

Leicester, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's lacrosse team opened the new season with a 16-7 road loss to Becker College at Alumni Field. With the win, Becker is now 1-0 on the year, while the Rams are 0-1.

The Rams received a pair of goals from freshman Lindsay Nixon (Woburn, Mass.) in her first collegiate outing and she filled the stat sheet with three draw controls and a ground ball.  Junior Nicole L'Heureux (Dracut, Mass.) added a pair of goals, three ground balls and six draw controls.  Freshman Kristen Hoggins (Harvard, Mass.), freshman Katelyn Belcher (Plymouth, Mass.) and senior Lauren Kent (Framingham, Mass.) chipped in with single goals each.

Sophomore Alysha Cericola (Waltham, Mass.) made the start between the pipes for the Rams stopping 14 shots.

The Rams are back in action next Thursday at Nichols College at 7 p.m.
