Kiley and Rijo Selected to NEWLA All-Conference Teams – Rams Receive Team Sportsmanship Award

Framingham, Mass. - Framingham State University junior midfielder Kerry Kiley (Mansfield, Mass) has been selected to the 2011 New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) All-Conference First Team and sophomore attack Louie Rijo (Salem, Mass.) has been selected to the Second Team in voting conducted by the conference's head coaches and announced by the conference office this morning.  The Rams have also been honored with the 2011 NEWLA Team Sportsmanship Award.          

Kiley, who was a second team All-NEWLA selection a year ago, and Rijo were the Rams leading scorers this season as both players racked up a team-high 40 points on 34 goals and six assists.  Rijo scored two game winning goals during the season, while Kiley, who scored her 100th career goal on March 23rd, scored one game winner and led the Rams in ground balls.    

The 2010-11 Rams finished the season 4-10 overall and fifth in the conference at 3-4.
