Women's Lacrosse Ends Season With Win Over Anna Maria

Framingham, MA - The Framingham State College women's lacrosse team ended the 2009 season at home today  on Maple Street Field with a 15-2 win over the visiting Amcats of Anna Maria College. With the win, the Rams finish the season at 7-7, while the Amcats end their season at 2-11.

Junior attack Ashley Noonan (Mansfield, MA) led the Rams offense with three goals and finished the season with a team-high 56 points. Freshman attack Kerry Kiley (Mansfield, MA) added two goals and a game-high two assists. Kiley finished her first season for the Rams with a team-high 50 goals.  Freshman Lauren McMullen (Bolton, MA) and sophomore Stephanie Corrales (Framingham, MA) chipped in two goals apiece, while Vicki Matthei (Chelmsford, MA), Kayla Sheehan (Watertown, MA), Rebecca L'Ecuyer (Lowell, MA), Kelleigh Sheehan (Rockland, MA), Jenna Plant (Pittsfield, MA) and Sam Laferriere (Billerica, MA) added single goals for the Rams.

Sophomore midfielder Crystal Torres (Southbridge, MA) scored both of Anna Maria's goals on the day.  Both tallies were unassisted.  Freshman Katherine Chousa (Norwood, MA) had a busy day in net for the Amcats as she faced 36 shots and made 18 saves on the day.  Sophomore Allesha Kenyon (Westford, MA) picked up the win in net for the Rams as she made 12 stops.
