MASCAC Regular Season Champion Women's Basketball Earns Top Seed in 2024 MASCAC Tournament

Framingham, Mass. – The 2023-24 MASCAC Regular Season Champion Framingham State University women's basketball team has earned the top seed in this week's Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Basketball Tournament.  As the number one seed the Rams host the lowest remaining seed in one semifinal on Thursday, February 22nd at 6 p.m. at Logan Gymnasium.

The women's basketball team captured the regular season title after completing the regular season at 22-2 overall and 11-1 in league play.   

The tournament begins on Tuesday, February 20th with fourth seed Salem State hosting fifth seed Worcester State and third seed Westfield State hosting sixth seed Fitchburg State in the two quarterfinals. The winners of the two quarterfinals will advance to the semifinals on the 22nd with the lowest remaining seed facing the top seeded Rams and the other facing second seed Bridgewater State.

The Tournament will conclude on Saturday with the winners of the two semifinals meeting at the highest remaining seed.  The winner of the finals receives the MASCAC's automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship
