Women's Basketball Sails Past Salem State 75-56

Salem, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's basketball team jumped out to a commanding 44-18l lead at the half and never looked back as the Rams defeated Salem State 75-56 this evening in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Twohig Gymnasium.

- Records: Framingham State (19-2, 8-1 MASCAC), Salem State (9-12, 2-6 MASCAC)

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams had four players tally double figures in the game led by a double double from Flannery O'Connor. O'Connor connected on 7-of-15 from the floor and added 15 boards in just 25 minutes of action. 

  • Kelsey Yelle also poured in 16 points as she connected on 6-of-12 from the floor and added seven boards, five assists and a block. 

  • Chloe Rayko chipped in with 11 points off the bench as she connected on a pair from behind the arc, while Katherine Haselton finished the game with 10 points, six rebounds, two assists and a steal. 

  • Gwendolyn Carpenter finished the game with seven points, five rebounds and a game-best 10 assists.
