O’Day Named to NEWBA and D3Hoops All-Region Squads
Framingham, Mass. – Senior guard Mary Kate O'Day (Berlin, Mass.) has been selected to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) and D3hoops.com All-Region Teams.
O'Day was selected for the NEWBA 1st Team, which was nominated by both coaches and sports information directors in the region, and selections were made based on a vote of the coaches.
The D3Hoops.com All-Region teams were nominated and voted on by the Sports Information Directors at the various schools in their region. O'Day was a 2nd Team All-Northeast Selection.
O'Day was named the MASCAC Player of the Year for the 2nd time in her career as well as 1st Team All-MASCAC for the third straight season after leading her team to a 22-6 record and the 2019-20 MASCAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships.
O'Day led the Rams with 17.9 points per game shooting 45 percent from the floor, 41 percent from three-point range and 83 percent from the line. Averaging over 32 minutes per game O'Day picked up 8.5 rebounds per game dishing out 3.5 assists and swiping 1.4 steals while leading the Rams to a 12-0 record in MASCAC play.
