O’Connor Earns Fourth Straight MASCAC Rookie of the Week Honor
Framingham, Mass.- Framingham State freshman Flannery O'Connor (Amesbury, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Basketball Player & Rookie of the Week for the week ending February 24th.
O'Connor averaged 19.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks while shooting 74% (17-23) from the floor in a 2-0 week for the Rams completing an undefeated conference season. She scored 21 points with 11 boards, two assists, a steal and two blocks in the 85-63 win over Bridgewater State. O'Connor added 18 points with 10 boards, two assists, a steal and three blocks in 22 minutes of play in the 81-53 win over Fitchburg State. This is ninth time this season and fourth consecutive week O'Connor has been named MASCAC Rookie of the Week.
