O’Day Selected to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

Framingham, Mass. – Senior guard Mary Kate O'Day (Berlin, Mass.) has been selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team as selected by the members of the organization.

The 2019-20 Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team (if applicable) Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-March.

O'Day, majoring in Sociology has a 3.93 GPA in classroom and has been on both the Dean's List and President's List every semester she was eligible. On the court, O'Day is currently the Rams second highest scorer in program history and has twice earned 1st team All-MASCAC honors in addition to being the 2017-18 MASCAC Player of the Year as well NEWBA and D3hoops.com All-Region honoree.

Behind O'Day, the 2019-20 Rams have posted a 19-5 record and perfect 11-0 record in league play capturing the outright MASCAC Regular Season Championship for the first time in program history. The Rams will close the regular season on Saturday, February 22nd and will be the top seed in next week's MASCAC Tournament.

O'Day is the first Ram to be honored by CoSIDA since former women's soccer standout Kayla Austin was named to the CoSIDA Division III District I First Team in 2013.
