O’Day Honored with Selection to D3hoops.com All-Region Team and NEWBA All-Region Team

Framingham, Mass. – Framingham State University sophomore guard Mary Kate O'Day (Berlin, Mass.) has been named to the D3hoops.com All-Noertheast Region Third Team and to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) All-Region Second Team as announced by both organizations today.

O'Day enjoyed a sensational sophomore season en route to  earning Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year accolades.  A first team All-MASCAC Selection, O'Day led the league averaging 18.5 points per game and 6.4 rebound and 2.3 assists per contest.  O'Day was fourth in the league in three-point percentage (34.6) and fifth in free throw percentage (79.6).  She scored a career-high 39 points in a victory over Fitchburg State.
