O'Day Selected to D3hoops.com Team of the Week
Framingham, Mass. – Sophomore guard Mary Kate O'Day (Berlin, Mass.) has been named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for games played the week of January 22-28th. The Team of the Week presented by Soutware is D3hoops.com's weekly honor roll, in its 21st season of recognizing the top performance at each of the five positions from the previous week.
O'Day, who was previously recognized as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Player of the Week and was selected to the NEWBA Weekly Honor Roll, averaged 28 points, 9.5 rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 2-0 week for the Rams.
She scored a career-best 39 points, three shy of the FSU single-game record, including 27 in the first half on 14-of-25 shooting from the floor with six boards and three steals in the 88-78 win over Fitchburg State. She added a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds with six assists in the 87-77 overtime win over MCLA.
