Offense Shines on Senior Night for Women’s Basketball

Framingham, Mass.- The Framingham State women's basketball team tied school records for points in a game with 99 and wins in a season at 19 en route to a 99-42 win over MCLA on senior night Wednesday evening in Framingham. With the win the Rams improve to 19-3 and 9-1 in the MASCAC. The Trailblazers are now 7-14 and 2-8 in the league.

Prior to the contest the Rams honored their three seniors playing in their final regular season home game: Monta Connolly (Lynn, Mass.), Alycia Rackliffe (Feeding Hills, Mass.) and Sarah Palace (Auburn, Mass.).

The Rams came out of the gate on fire outscoring the Trailblazers 32-9 in the 1st quarter shooting 79% from the field and 71% from beyond the arc. Rackliffe tallied 10 first quarter points on the way to a 22 point night adding twelve boards with 6 blocked shots. Raegan Mulherin (Baldwinville, Mass.) scored 14 points in the opening frame going a perfect 5-for-5 from the floor, including four from downtown, as she finished the evening with 17 points.

Lauren Donahue (Attleboro, Mass.) scored 11 points, nearly missing a double-double with 9 assists. Palace, Mary Kate O'Day (Berlin, Mass.) and Quinn O'Connell (Sterling, Mass.) each added 10 points for the Rams.

Kayla Hotaling (Ravena, Mass.) and McKenzie Robinson (Adams, Mass.) scored 8 points apiece for the Trailblazers who shot 23% from the field in the contest.

The Rams return to action on Wednesday, February 15th when they travel to Worcester State for MASCAC action. The Trailblazers will host Fitchburg State on Saturday, February 11th.
