Women’s Basketball Sets Program Record in Win Over Fitchburg State

Framingham, Mass.- The Framingham State women's basketball team set the program record for points in a game en route to a 99-44 win over Fitchburg State Wednesday evening in Framingham. With the win the Rams improve to 15-3 and 5-1 in the MASCAC. The Falcons slip to 8-9 and 1-5 league play.

The Rams were paced by senior Alycia Rackliffe (Feeding Hills, Mass.) who scored a season-best 24 points with 10 rebounds shooting 11-for-13 from the floor. Sophomore Tiphani Harris (Revere, Mass.) added a season-high 14 points going 10-of-11 from the stripe. Quinn O'Connell (Sterling, Mass.) and Mary Kate O'Day (Berlin, Mass.) each had 11 points and Raegan Mulherin (Baldwinville, Mass.) added 10 points.

Fitchburg was paced by Jaliannette Marquez (Dracut, Mass.) with 11 points while Kyra Rose (Rockport, Mass.) added 9 points for the Falcons.

The Rams scored the first seven points of the game before the Falcons fought back to make it a 9-8 deficit just over 3 minutes into the game. The Rams then went on 27-3 run to end the quarter and never looked back.

The Rams shot 49% from the floor and 47% from beyond the arc. The Falcons shot 20% from the field and 68% from the line.

The Rams return to the hardwood on Saturday, January 28th when they travel to Salem State. The Falcons host Westfield State on the same day.
