Framingham, Mass.- The Framingham State University women's basketball team used double-digit scoring performances by five different players to lead them over Rivier University in non-conference action Tuesday evening in Framingham. With the win the Rams improve to 4-2 while the Raiders even out at 3-3.

The Rams were once again paced by sophomore Raegan Mulherin (Baldwinville, Mass.) who scored a game-high 23 points. Classmate Quinn O'Connell (Sterling, Mass.) tallied 17 points while junior Alycia Rackliffe (Feeding Hills, Mass.) scored 15 points with a game-high 3 blocked shots. The Raiders were led by Caitlyn Perry (Nashua, NH) with a team-high 22 points while Kaylee Kacavas (Dracut, Mass.) and Rebecca DeBaldo (Pelham, NH) both scored 19 apiece.

The Raiders jumped out to an early advantage leading 15-8 a little more than halfway through the first period but the Rams came charging back. A Mulherin basket pulled it to 19-14, a Raiders free throw made it a 6 point game then O'Connell hit three straight shots from downtown to put the Rams up 23-21. Perry hit two free throws to end the period tied at 23.

The Rams continued their hot shooting in the second quarter going on a 17-2 run to open the frame capped by a Rackliffe jumper with a little over four minutes left in the half. The Raiders would chip back and enter the break trailing 46-35.

The two teams traded baskets for much of the 3rd quarter and a Kacavas jumper with just under three minutes to go in the 3rd cut the Rams lead to nine. The hosts responded with a trey from sophomore Lauren Donahue (Attleboro, Mass.) followed by a Mulherin basket and never looked back.

The Rams were 31-of-78 (39.7%) from the field and 5-of-18 (27.8%) from long range while shooting 60 percent from the line. The Raiders shot 24-for-69 (43.8%) from the floor and were 8-of-19 from downtown (42.1%) and shot 67 percent from the stripe.
