Women's Basketball Cruises to 93-70 Win Over Mount Ida

Newton, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's basketball team had four players record double figures as they cruised to a 93-70 victory over Mount Ida College in non-conference action this evening.

With the win, the Rams improve to 3-2 on the year, while the Mustangs dip to 1-5 on the season.

Sophomore Raegan Mulherin (Baldwinville, Mass.) led all scorers with a game-high 29 points on 11-of-22 shooting from the field including 5-of-10 from behind the arc.  Mulherin also recorded four rebounds, four assists and five steals to lead the Rams.

Juniors Alycia Rackliffe (Feeding Hills, Mass.) and Sarah Palace (Auburn, Mass.) chipped in with 14 points apiece. Rackliffe picked up a double double as she grabbed a team-high 14 rebounds and blocked six shots.  Sophomore Quinn O'Connell (Sterling, Mass.) chipped in with 13 points and three assists.  Freshman Tiphani Harris (Revere, Mass.) just missed her first collegiate double double as she tallied nine points and hauled in 10 boards.

The Mustangs were led by a double double of 19 points and 14 rebounds from Angelique Martinez.  Martinez connected on 8-of-17 from the field.  Brittany Crosby was the only other Mustang in double figures with 12 points and eight rebounds.

The Rams are back in action on December 1st when they host Rivier at 7 p.m.
